The construction of the new building of the Faculty of Animal Sciences is progressing in a rapid way and without breaks, by which it could be completed by mid of this year for its delivery to the student community of this facultative unit whom old infrastructure would be destroyed by a fire on September of 2010.
Dean Fracy Ferrier, of the Faculty said to be satisfied by the percentage of progress in the construction of this new building that meets all the conditions and requirements of a modern university infrastructure, then takes into account the technical specifications in terms of environments for classrooms, administrative offices, restroom services, laboratories, professors' lounge, auditorium and other spaces to offer professors, administrative and students all the amenities that they need to take forward the teaching-learning process.

AGRONOMIC ENGINEERING DEVELOPS SOCIAL INTERACTION PROGRAM WITH THEIR STUDENTS

- Develops a program of support to farmers, to rice producers and to the cocoa producers association of the provinces.
Thanks to an agreement that the UAB has with Beni´s government, the career of Agronomic Engineering takes forward a support program to the farm workers of Beni´s Department to whom they will offer technical advice in the agricultural production of diverse products, according to the director Lucio Zelada of this academic unit.
"At the moment we are working on the basis of specific projects that the University has with the Secretary of Integral Development and Multiethnic Farmer of Beni´s Government, so that our students develop their graduate projects and directed work in communities of the province Cercado and Marban, besides of other provinces of the Department, as Ballivian and Yacuma "said the graduate of the career.
The communities where they jobs are develop are identified basis to the agreement the UAB has with the government and also with some municipalities, any time that they are also being developed some reforestation projects in San Andres and in the community of Santisima Trinidad, besides of Casarabe and Villa Banzer, where the Career through their professors and students provide advice on the topic of seeds rice certified.

ANIMAL HOSPITALS WILL BE EXPANDED AND REMODELED TO OFFER BETTER SERVICE

The animal hospital building that is located in the university campus Hernán Melgar Justiniano, will be entirely remodeled and expanded to offer better service both student population and the public attending to this health center in search of professional care for their domestic pets.
Despite being relatively new, the building of this hospital is notably deteriorated, with a lot of leak problems, cracks in the walls, in the floor and other environments such as the laboratory, consulting and administrative offices where many flaws are noticeable that prevent on providing a good service and even puts in risks the health and the physical integrity of those who remain in such place.

CIVIL ENGINEERING CAREER DEVELOPS A PROGRAM TO BENEFIT THE NEIGHBORHOODS

With the intention to take forward a program of social interaction and benefiting the different social groups of the city, the Civil Engineering Career will initiate a social Technical program that has been named “Civil Engineering in your neighborhood", with which is intended to contribute to the improvement of urban infrastructure of Ben´s capital city.
Director Thomas Anderson Gutierrez, of the Civil Engineering Career of UAB, commented that among the graduation modalities that this academic unit has, graduate projects are with which is intended to satisfy the people´s demands.

STUDENT WELFARE DIRECTION APPROVED 2049 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UAB STUDENTS

With the intention of supporting a greater number of students of Beni´s Autonomous University, the Council of Student Welfare of UAB approved for 2012 the submission of 2049 scholarships for the students of Trinidad, Guayaramerín, and the Agricultural Humanistic Technical School, ETHA of Casarabe.
This number of scholarships proposed by the Student Welfare Council was also approved by the Honorable University Council, which proceeded to the submission of this benefit for the students of different academic units of the mentioned municipalities.
Different modalities of scholarships exist to benefit the students according to their needs, Any time that some of them need dining scholarships, others require residential scholarships, liberation scholarships tuition fee paid or assistantship scholarships, which is why these scholarships will be awarded taking into account the need or the requirement of each student.
